Our family is on an adventure to adopt another son from China. We completed the adoption of Elizabeth and Levi, from China, in 2014. We had not intended to adopt again. However, in this last 6 months, we have felt compelled to return to China for another son.
Aimee made a trip to China last March, using her background in Pediatric Physical Therapy to teach and train in an Orphanage. The decision to adopt again was not immediate after that trip. There was a slow stirring that wrestled and rumbled until the question had to be discussed. And hands down, every family member felt we should move forward.
So, here we are again, on this journey to add to our family. Oh, our house is full, our van is cramped and our schedule tight. And the list of reasons to say “no” are long. But the reasons to say “yes”, well, they won. That list wasn’t as long, and it looks harder. But the experience we’ve had with Elizabeth and Levi has been life changing. We are not the same as we were before they joined our family. There are more who wait; way too many more. And we cannot bring them all into our family. But, we have found that love multiples and we have room for one more. We want to live a life that leaves a legacy. A legacy that Jesus led us. We are ordinary people serving and extraordinary God. Big things happen when we say “yes” to Him. We would love your prayer support as we continue this journey. And we’d be honored if you joined us to financially make this gift of a family possible.
We have been SO FORTUNATE to receive a matching Grant From Lifesong/Orphan Care Alliance of $4000.00. So, for every dollar that is donated, they matching it, dollar for dollar, up to $4000.00. So, ultimately, $4000.00 becomes $8000.00. We are in immediate need of these funds to pay for our agency fees and the fee to China as soon as we are matched.
